Kairos Pacific University ("Kairos," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit kairos.aeu.edu or submit an inquiry to us, how we use that information, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

Information you give us directly. When you submit an inquiry form, request our academic catalog, use our chat widget, or contact us by phone or email, we may collect:

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, financial account numbers, or health information through this website. Please do not send that information through our forms or chat.

4. Text Messaging (SMS)

Our inquiry form includes two separate, optional consent checkboxes for text messaging. You control both.

Non-marketing messages. If you consent, we may text you about your specific program inquiry and your admissions process — things like scheduling a call, answering a question you asked, or following up on an application step.

Marketing and promotional messages. If you separately consent, we may text you about program announcements, enrollment deadlines, events, and scholarship opportunities.

Terms that apply to both:

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment, admission, or purchase of any service.
Message frequency varies.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Your number is shared only with the messaging and customer relationship service providers we use to deliver messages on our behalf, as described in Section 6.

Opting out of text messages does not remove you from email communication, and vice versa. Each channel is handled separately.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and evaluate our advertising.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf and are permitted to use it only for those functions:

HighLevel (LeadConnector) — our customer relationship management and messaging platform, which stores inquiry submissions and delivers our email and text communications
Google — for advertising measurement and website analytics
Tidio — for the live chat feature on our website
Wix — our website hosting provider

We may also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order; when necessary to comply with accreditation or state regulatory requirements; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Kairos Pacific University, our students, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and for our legitimate business, accreditation, and recordkeeping purposes. Where we are subject to state or accreditation record retention requirements, we keep records for the period those rules require. You may ask us to delete your information as described in Section 8.

8. Your Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to:

Know what personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we shared it with
Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Request that we correct inaccurate personal information
Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal and recordkeeping exceptions
Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

To make a request, email info@kairos.aeu.edu or call (888) 686-5222. We will verify your identity before acting on your request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Everyone else. Regardless of where you live, you may email us at info@kairos.aeu.edu to ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you have submitted, and we will make reasonable efforts to honor your request.

9. Student Education Records

Once you are enrolled, your education records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). FERPA governs how we handle those records and is separate from this Privacy Policy, which covers our website and prospective-student inquiries. Enrolled students should consult our academic catalog and student handbook for our full FERPA notice.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

This website is intended for adults seeking graduate and undergraduate education. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 16, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact info@kairos.aeu.edu.

12. Links to Other Websites

Our website may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted here. Your continued use of the website after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
