3 YEARS    |    40 CREDITS[UNITS]
ACADEMIC PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) is a professional doctoral degree designed to equip experienced pastors, chaplains, ministry leaders, and Christian professionals with advanced competencies for faithful, ethical, and effective leadership in contemporary ministry settings. The program integrates biblical and theological reflection, organizational leadership, Christian ethics, responsible engagement with emerging technologies, applied ministry research, and the completion of a substantial practice-focused doctoral project/dissertation.

Students will demonstrate advanced competencies in ministry leadership, theological reflection, organizational leadership, strategic planning, ethical decision-making, applied research, and professional ministry practice through successful completion of all program requirements. The successful completion of a doctoral project/dissertation demonstrates a student’s ability to conduct rigorous practice-focused research that contributes meaningful scholarship and practical solutions to significant ministry challenges while advancing faithful service to the Church.

Applicable across churches, denominations, parachurch ministries, chaplaincy, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, healthcare settings, and global ministry contexts, the Doctor of Ministry equips graduates to lead organizational change, strengthen ministry effectiveness, develop leaders, address complex ministry challenges, and integrate biblical wisdom with contemporary leadership practice for the advancement of God’s mission in the world.
